Why I Love My German Shepherd has its roots in dog training classes in southern Spain, where Gema took her German Shepherds along with her husband Nick Jones. He had never been a 'dog person' but as the Andalucian sun went down, Nick noticed how it brought out the beauty of the golden fur of the German Shepherds. He's a documentary film-maker from London, while Gema is a Spaniard with a life-long love of GSDs and a passion for design - as you can see in our Store.
Nick began to appreciate the unique love that exists between German Shepherd and human companion. It inspired him to tell that story in a cinema documentary. The result is this film.
It's a project that marries Gema's love of German Shepherds with Nick's passion for story-telling on film. Their three German Shepherds (below) complete the family. Nick has been making documentaries for over 30 years, for British TV networks such as the BBC, Channel 4 and ITV. You can see a list of his main productions at www.quantafilms.co.uk
